With Fall only a few months away you may be wondering which styles are here to stay and which ones are ready to retire. There are many exciting trends in the near future but some we continue to see are puff sleeves and ruffles. So, if you're asking yourself if puffy sleeves and feminine ruffles are still in style this year- the answer is yes! The beloved trend is here to stay in 2022. However, Fall will feel more understated because the colors and prints are toned down. Although we will continue to see styles made of cotton, a lot of the fabrications will instantly elevate this trend so it doesn’t feel too “young.”

Are puffy sleeves and ruffles outdated?

You will not look outdated if you continue to wear puff sleeves and ruffles at all. Some of our favorite brands like Marie Oliver and Nation are still showing puff sleeves in their Fall/Winter collections. Other brands have evolved the puff shoulder into longer balloon sleeves. There will be something for everyone, from ruffles that will add texture and interest to the simplest of outfits to classic and simple looks for those who are over all of the extra detail.
