Top Spring/Summer 2022 Trends You Need to Know

The past few fashion seasons have been far from traditional. Due to the pandemic and the safety restrictions that followed, designers had no choice but to opt for audience-free or virtual fashion shows. However this season, designers reclaimed the accustomed catwalk for the first time since March 2020. The return to normalcy felt like a ray of sunshine compared to previous years, as collections consisted of more comfort-centered designs rather than functional. The trends proposed were also refreshing. We saw everything from funky color combinations to classic staples, and even some throwback fads!

At FCB we’re constantly on the lookout for what's next in fashion. That’s why we gathered the top major styles you'll be seeing in Spring/Summer 2022. There is no doubt that these looks will be huge in the seasons to come. And while there are plenty of trends to be tried, tons are already available for your cart. So why not get ahead of the game now? Keep scrolling to see the biggest trends you need to know about this Spring/Summer.

Top SS22 Fashion Trends - Shop Saturated Tones at French Cuff Boutique

A diverse palette of hues is trending this season and we are loving it! Pantone’s 2022 trend predictions consisted of many exciting and bold colors like heated reds and stand-out purples. Although these tones can seem a little intimidating at first, they are actually pretty easy to style! Bright-colored pieces go great with neutrals like black, white or nude. Take a look at some of our favorite saturated-toned pieces below!

Tons of pastel tones were featured on the runway this year but the most significant were sky blue, blush and lavender. Pale tones typically coincide with Springtime but this season we saw designers pairing soft hues with clashing or unexpected color combinations - hello saturated tones! Stand out this year and make a statement by mixing your pastels with a bright orange, red or green.

Top SS22 Fashion Trends - Shop Vacation Styles at French Cuff Boutique

We saw a range of vacay looks on the runway this year. Expect to see everything from busy tropicana prints to classic clean whites when vacationing this summer. If you’re not afraid of playful prints then vibrant tropicana dresses and tops are a MUST for your wardrobe! For those who like to keep it simple, you can still stay on trend with classic white kimonos and knitted dresses. Take a look at some of our favorite resort styles below:

Top SS22 Fashion Trends - Shop Mini Skirts at French Cuff Boutique

If you haven’t heard, skin is in for 2022! We saw many designers like Fendi, Miu Miu and Chanel showcase mini skirts in their Spring/Summer collections. The designer of Miu Miu said, “Since we have to cover our faces in public with masks, what else can we do but show our legs instead?” We 100% agree. Take on the trend by pairing a denim mini skirt with heels and a blouse or sneakers and a tee if you’re going for a casual look. Take a look at our latest mini skirts below:

Top SS22 Fashion Trends - Shop Mini Blazers at French Cuff Boutique

Blazers are a wardrobe essential but this year designers like L'agence and Veronica Beard took on a new version… Say hello to the cropped blazer!  Cropped blazers are so versatile as they typically do not look as “serious” as a true blazer and can be more playful in appearance while still offering structure. You can pair them with trousers, shorts and even jeans! Check out a few of our blazers below:

Top Spring/Summer Fashion Trends 2022 | French Cuff Boutique | Low Rise Denim

Designers were all about flaunting midriffs this season as we saw tons of cropped tops being paired with low-rise bottoms. I guess you can say Y2K is making a come-back in 2022!  We still love our high-rise jeans, however, adding a new style to your wardrobe can be fun and refreshing! If crop tops aren’t your thing don’t worry, as regular-length blouses and tees still look amazing with low to mid-rise jeans. See some of our faves below:
