We're back with another feature for our Stylishly Inspiring Women in the Community series. Meet Jennifer Alpard, a Physician Assistant at MD Anderson. Jennifer is a kidney donor and runs the Cade R. Alpard Foundation. Her organization raises money and awareness for pediatric liver disease, organ donor awareness, patient and family support, and education. 

 We sat down with Jennifer and asked her a few questions about her style and personal life. Keep scrolling to learn more about our new friend. 

Q: How would you describe your style? What's your go-to outfit and/or piece of clothing you can't live without?  

A: "When I'm not in athletic wear, I enjoy a cute dress or jeans. I love for my clothes to be fitted. I am obsessed with shoes, and that usually makes my whole outfit! I'm somewhat famous for my shoes!"

Q: Any local establishments you're loving right now? 

A: "Terry Hershey Park is my home away from home where my running group and I run several days per week. I love the mountains and the beach. I’m a Colorado girl at heart. I love sushi and have two favorites, Sushi King and Oishii."

Q: Any event you're looking forward to this year?  

A: "I’m looking forward to the Chevron Houston Marathon. Our foundation, the Cade R. Alpard Foundation for Pediatric Liver Disease is an official Houston Marathon Run for a Reason Charity, and this year is our 16th year!"

Q: What inspired you to donate a Kidney?

A: "My son, Cade, had a liver transplant when he was one and now he is a healthy 19-year-old. We are so thankful for his gift of life, and I always wanted to pay it forward so I donated a kidney to a stranger in June 2021."
